- 4 medium onions, sliced (any sweet onion)
- 12 saltine crackers, crushed
- 1 stick butter
- 1 can mushroom soup (undiluted)
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Melt butter and cook onions in it until tender.

2Butter a casserole dish.

3Line with cracker crumbs.

4Add layer of onions, then layer of soup until dish is full.

5Beat eggs and add in milk, salt and pepper.

6Pour over top of casserole.

7Sprinkle cheese on top and add a few more cracker crumbs.

8Bake at 350° until brown and bubbly.
