  • 5 -6 onions, sliced
  • salt
  • 12 cup butter
  • black pepper
  • 20 Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

    Cover onions with salted water and cook until clear looking.

    Drain in colander.

    Put onions in a well-buttered casserole dish.

    Add lots of butter and black pepper to taste.

    Put a layer of crushed Ritz crackers, then a layer of cheese.

    Repeat layers.

    Bake about 20-25 mintues in preheated 350 degree oven.
