- 4 medium onions, sliced
- 1/2 stick margarine or butter
- 12 saltine crackers, crushed
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. sharp cheese, grated
Directions

1Saute onions in butter or margarine until tender.

2Line 8 x 8-inch buttered casserole with crushed crackers.

3Mix onions with chicken soup and pour over crackers.

4Beat eggs with milk, salt and pepper.

5Pour over the mixture.

6Sprinkle with cheese.

7Bake at 350° until brown and bubbly, approximately 35 to 40 minutes.

8Let set for 15 minutes before serving.
