- 3 large onions (Vidalia if available), sliced
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 lb bay Swiss cheese
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- French bread
Directions

1Stir and saute onions in 1/2 cup butter.

2Place in greased 9 x 13 baking dish.

3Place over onions:

41/2 lb baby Swiss cheese, sliced or grated, 1 can undiluted cream of chicken soup.

5Butter slices of French bread and place on top.

6Bake until bread browns and casserole bubbles.

7Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes.
