- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 1/4 c. very warm water
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1 tsp. dill weed
- 1 c. lukewarm buttermilk
- 7 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Mix all first 9 ingredients well.

2Add flour last and mix. Turn out on lightly floured board and knead until smooth and elastic.

3Place dough in greased bowl and turn to grease all sides.

4Cover; let rise until double, then half.

5Place each half in loaf pan and let rise again until double.

6Bake at 300° for 1 hour.
