- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cups minced Spanish onions
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 1/3 cup minced chives
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- Potato chips, for serving
Directions

1Heat the oil in a heavy bottomed pan over low heat.

2Add the onions and cook over low heat, stirring, until they golden brown in color.

3This process will take about 20 minutes.

4Remove from heat, cool.

5In a large mixing bowl, fold together the onions, sour cream, and chives.

6Add the Worcestershire sauce and garlic salt; adjust to taste.

7Cover the dip and allow the flavors to mature for at least 2 hours.

8Serve with chips.
