- 1 can Campbell's French onion soup with beef stock
- 1 can long grain rice
- 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 1 can water
Directions

1In this order place in saucepan.

2Bring to boil.

3Place tight-fitting lid on pan.

4Turn down fire as low as possible without it going out and simmer for approximately 18 to 20 minutes.

5Quickly remove lid.

6Spoon out small amount.

7Replace lid, tasting rice for doneness.

8When done, remove from heat. Rice will have absorbed beef stock and all the onions will be layered on top.

9Use as side dish or with gravy on top.

10To this dish you could add browned ground beef or small cubed beef tips, cooked to serve as one dish meal.
