  • 8 large onions
  • 2 lb. beef, cut in cubes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. rosemary
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. red wine
  • 2 qt. water
  • 3 cubes beef bouillon

Directions

    Brown meat.

    Add garlic and rosemary.

    Remove meat and simmer onions until soft.

    Sprinkle in brown sugar and stir.

    Return meat.

    Add wine.
