  • 1 large red onion, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 14 1/2 oz. beef broth
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 slices French bread, toasted
  • 4 Tbsp. grated Swiss cheese

Directions

    In saucepan cook 1 large sliced onion in butter 5 minutes, stirring often.

    Add beef broth and a dash of Worcestershire sauce and cook 5 minutes.

    Divide soup between two ovenproof bowls.

    Top each with toasted French bread and half the Swiss cheese.

    Bake in 325° oven for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.

    Serves 2.
