- 8 oz. medium sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/2 c. butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 1 tsp. prepared mustard
- 1 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. chopped purple opal basil
- 1 1/2 c. crisp rice cereal
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2In a large bowl, mix the cheese, butter, Tabasco sauce and mustard.

3Blend in the flour and basil. When combined, stir in the cereal and blend well.

4Shape into balls and place on greased baking sheet.

5Flatten with the bottom of a lightly floured glass or with a fork.

6Bake for 15 minutes. Serve hot.

7Freezes well.
