- 2 c. white sugar
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 3 eggs
- 2 c. canned blackberries (I use Thank You brand in heavy syrup)
- juice (as liquid for cake)
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Sift together flour, spices, soda and cloves.

2Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Blend well.

4Add dry ingredients; mix well.

5Stir in blackberries until mixture is smooth.

6Bake at 375° for 1 hour (or until done) in Bundt pan.
