- 1 c. sugar
- 3 or 4 eggs
- pinch of salt
- 5 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 lb. Crisco
- juice of 2 oranges and their rind
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients.

2Mix like a pie crust.

3Put rind with dry ingredients.

4Make a hole in the dough and put in eggs and juice.

5Dough should be soft like a pie crust.

6If more liquid is needed for dough, milk may be added.

7Roll into small balls for they get bigger while baking.

8Bake at 300° to 375° until brown. Frost, leave plain or cover with chocolate jimmies.
