  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. melted margarine
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • peel from 3 large oranges

Directions

    Cut the peel from 3 large oranges and cook in salt water until tender.

    Drain.

    Add 1 cup sugar to peel while still hot. Simmer until clear.

    Cut peel into small pieces.

    Mix remaining ingredients. Add orange mixture. Pour into 2 medium and 1 small bread pan. Bake at 350° about 35 to 45 minutes. Check for doneness with toothpick.
