Ingredients
- 1 lb. carrots
- 3/4 c. water
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. fresh grated orange peel
- 1 orange
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. favorite syrup
Directions

1Wash and peel, scrub or scrape carrots.

2Slice crosswise into rounds or lengthwise into sticks.

3Bring water and salt to a boil in saucepan.

4Add carrots and cover pan.

5Cook over medium heat for 10 to 20 minutes, until tender.

6Drain well.

7Meanwhile, grate 1/2 teaspoon peel from orange.

8Peel orange and cut into bite size pieces. Add orange pieces and peel, margarine and syrup to drained carrots.

9Place over low heat and stir gently until margarine is melted and orange are heated.

10Serve at once.

11Makes 6 servings.
