- 9/16 cup butter-margarine
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 teaspoons grated orange zest
- 3 tablespoons orange juice Freshly Squeezed
- 1 1/8 cups dark chocolate chip
Directions

1Preheat the oven at 180C and line a 8 inch round cake pan with a parchment paper

2Sieve the flour with baking powder and keep aside

3Cream together butter and sugar with the grated orange zest in a bowl

4Add the eggs one at a time and beat well

5Add the vanilla and orange juice to the mixture and beat for few seconds

6Next fold in the flour

7Lastly add the chocolate chips and fold the mixture twice.

8Spoon the cake mixture to the prepared 8 inch round pan

9Bake for 20- 25 minutes , or until a cake tester inserted comes out clean

10Serve it warm or cold with tea / coffee
