  • 1/3 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. grated orange rind (optional)
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
  • 1 c. orange juice
  • 1 - 7 oz. package flaked coconut

Directions

    Cream butter, shortening and sugar.

    Add eggs and beat.

    Add orange rind.

    Add juice and flour a little at a time until all is used.

    Bake in oven at 350° for 25 minutes.
