- 1 cup buttermilk

- 1 orange, juice and rind of
Directions

1Combine flour and baking soda and set aside.

2Mix Crisco, sugar and eggs and mix well.

3Stir in orange juice and orange rind.

4Add flour mixture and buttermilk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.

5Drop by teaspoonful on lightly greased sheets.

6Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.

7Cool on wire racks and frost with orange frosting.

8To prepare ORANGE FROSTING: Cream all frosting ingredients till smooth.

9If mixture is too stiff, add a little more orange juice.

10Frost cookies after cookies are cooled.
