- 1 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. margarine, softened
- 2 3/4 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. Orange Crush soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. orange extract
- 4 oz. cream cheese
- 1/4 c. margarine, softened
- 2/3 (1 lb.) pkg. confectioners sugar
Directions

1Cream shortening, 1/4 cup margarine and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy.

2Beat in eggs, one at a time.

3Sift flour and salt together.

4Add to batter alternately with orange soda, mixing well after each addition.

5Stir in extracts.

6Spoon into greased and floured tube pan.

7Bake at 325° to 350° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

8Cool in pan and remove to wire rack to cool completely.

9Combine cream cheese, 1/4 cup margarine and confectioners sugar in mixing bowl.

10Mix until smooth.

11Spread over cake.
