  • 1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
  • 2 c. unsifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar and beat in eggs.

    Blend in orange juice and rind.

    Stir in remaining ingredients.

    Pour into a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan which has been greased on the bottom only.

    Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes.
