Orange Pecans

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
  • 3 c. pecan halves

Directions

    Put sugar and orange juice in large saucepan and cook to a soft ball stage on candy thermometer (236° to 240°).

    Turn off heat and add orange rind and pecans.

    Use a wooden spoon; stir until mixture turns cream color (5 to 7 minutes). Pour onto cookie sheet; spread out.

    When cool enough to handle, break apart.
