  • 4 eggs
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 lb. orange slice candy, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 lb. dates, cut into pieces
  • 2 c. coconut
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 c. pecan pieces

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each.

    Add soda and flour mixture alternately with buttermilk. Then fold in orange slices, dates, coconut and nuts.
