  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 box dates
  • 1 lb. candy orange slices (gumdrop style)
  • 2 c. nuts
  • 1 can Angel Flake coconut

Directions

    Mix batter as any other cake.

    Cut dates and orange slices and use 1/2 cup flour on these.
  3. 3
    Bake in a tube pan at 250° for 2 1/2 hours to 2 3/4 hours.
