  • 3 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 lb. candy orange slices, chopped
  • 1 tsp. soda, in 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 c. nuts
  • 1 small box chopped dates
  • 2 c. coconut

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs.

    Add milk and flour alternately.

    Roll nuts, dates and candy in flour; add, along with coconut, to batter.

    Bake in tube pan (greased and floured) at 250° for 2 1/2 hours.
