  • 4 c. plain flour, sifted
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 lb. orange sliced candy
  • 1/2 lb. (8 oz.) chopped dates
  • 1 c. flaked coconut
  • 2 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. soda
