Oriental Chicken Pitas

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. chopped, cooked chicken, cooked without salt or fat
  • 1 c. alfalfa sprouts
  • 1/2 c. chopped water chestnuts
  • 1/2 c. sliced green onions
  • 2 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. dark sesame oil
  • 2 (6-inch) whole wheat pita bread rounds, cut in half crosswise
  • 4 lettuce leaves

Directions

    Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.

    Combine vinegar, soy sauce and sesame oil.

    Pour over chicken mixture and toss gently.

    Line pita halves with lettuce.

    Spoon 1 cup chicken mixture into each pita half.
