Orzo Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. box orzo
  • 1 pkg. Lipton onion soup
  • 1 stick butter or oleo
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 lb. mushrooms, chopped
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce

Directions

    Melt butter in frypan.

    Add chopped onions and mushrooms. Saute until soft.

    Add soup mix, soy sauce and 1/4 cup water. Simmer for 10 minutes.

    Cook orzo according to directions on package.

    Drain and put in 2 quart casserole, adding mushroom and onion mix.

    Stir all together and bake 20 minutes at 300°.

    This can be reheated and if too dry, add a little water.

    Serves 10.
