  • 2 lb. stew meat
  • 1 c. tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 small carrots
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 1/2 c. celery, chopped
  • 3 tsp. tapioca
  • 1 slice bread, cubed
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Cut carrots in strips; peel and quarter potatoes.

    Combine all ingredients (do not brown meat).

    Put into a 3-quart casserole. Bake, covered in 325° oven for 3 1/2 hours.
