- 2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 9 qt. popped corn (unsalted)
- 1 c. butter
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 (16 oz.) jar roasted peanuts (optional)
Directions

1Mix brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, cream of tartar and salt in an 8-quart saucepan.

2Bring to boil.

3Stir constantly over medium heat.

4Boil 3 minutes.

5Remove from heat and add baking soda.

6Stir well until foam disappears.

7Pour over popped corn and nuts in a large roasting pan.
