Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 5 qt. popcorn, popped
  • 1 c. dry roasted peanuts

Directions

    Combine syrup, sugar, butter and salt.

    Boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in soda.

    Pour immediately over corn and nuts in large roasting pan.

    Bake in slow oven, 250° for one hour. Stir every 15 minutes.

    Cool and store in tightly covered container.

    Also freezes.

    Yields 5 quarts.
