- 4 potatoes
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 lb. chuck beef, cubed
- 2 Tbsp. tapioca
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 6 carrots
- 1 stalk celery
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. tomato juice or wine
Directions

1Quarter potatoes, cut celery and carrots in chunks.

2Place in buttered baking dish with meat and onion.

3Sprinkle with salt, tapioca and sugar.

4Pour chosen liquid over the stew.

5Cover and bake in 300° oven for 4 hours.
