  • 2 lb. stew meat
  • 2 large carrots, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, diced (optional)
  • 1 large onion, chopped or 2 Tbsp. dried minced onions
  • 1 c. peas, frozen
  • 1 c. green beans, frozen
  • 3 c. hot water with 3 bouillon cubes (chicken or beef)
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans stewed or chopped tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. bread crumbs
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 c. red wine
  • salt and pepper
