Ingredients

  • 2 lb. beef stewing meat
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Wesson oil
  • 5 carrots, cut into 1-inch
  • 3 potatoes, cube to 1-inch
  • 1 can (14 oz.) whole tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (1 3/8 oz.) pkg. dry onion soup

Directions

    Cut meat into 1-inch cubes, coat with flour, salt and pepper, toss with oil in 3 qt. casserole.

    Bake 400° uncovered for 30 minutes.

    Stir once.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Cover and bake at 375° for 2 hours or until meat is tender.
