Ingredients

  • 3 c. water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. melted shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • about 10 c. flour

Directions

    Start about 5 p.m.

    Dissolve sugar in warm water.

    When cool, add yeast and stir.

    Add salt and beaten egg, then 5 cups flour and beat well.

    Next add shortening and knead in other 5 cups of water.

    Cover pan with foil and put in warm place.

    Knead down every hour.

    Put in pans at 10 p.m.

    Cover with cloth and plastic. Bake the next morning at 8 a.m. at 350° for 15 minutes.
