Overnight Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage or ground beef
  • 32 oz. prepared spaghetti sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • 15 oz. Ricotta cheese *
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped chives *
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves *
  • 1 egg *
  • 8 oz. lasagna noodles
  • 16 oz. sliced Mozzarella slices
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese **

Directions

    *Mix these ingredients together and let stand.

    Brown meat and add spaghetti sauce plus 1 cup water.

    Simmer 15 minutes.

    Let cool.

    To layer all, start with 1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce, one layer of raw noodles, one layer of Ricotta cheese mix, layer of Mozzarella slices and another layer of sauce.

    Continue layering until all is used, ending with sauce on top.

    Cover with tinfoil; let stand in refrigerator overnight.

    The next day, bake at 350° for about 45 minutes; take tinfoil off until Mozzarella cheese on top is golden brown.
