Oyster Casserole

  • 1 pt. oysters (extra small)
  • 2 c. coarsely crumbled crackers
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 3/4 c. half and half milk

Directions

    Drain oysters and set aside.

    Mix liquid from oysters, half and half and 3/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce together and set aside.

    Mix cracker crumbs and butter and spread 1/3 mixture on bottom of dish.

    Put 1/2 of oysters on top of crackers and add 1/2 of milk mixture.

    Repeat layer and top with remaining cracker crumbs.

    Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until golden brown. Serves 4.

    I usually double or triple this recipe and serve it with holiday dinners.
