Ingredients
- 3 1/2 qt. coarse white bread crumbs, loosely packed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. rosemary
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. tarragon
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 1/4 lb. margarine
- 3/4 c. finely chopped celery
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1 1/4 c. chopped oysters
- 1 c. chicken stock or bouillon
Directions

1Pull crumbs from crusts of 3 or 4 day old bread.

2Disregard crusts.

3Add salt, seasonings and pepper; toss.

4Melt margarine, add celery and onion.

5Saute until just softened, then stir in oysters.

6Pour over bread crumbs with chicken stock.

7Mix lightly with fork or hands.

8Put in 8 x 11 x 2-inch baking dish and cook, uncovered, in 350° oven for one hour.

9Yields 6 servings.
