- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- dash of bottled hot pepper sauce
- 1 pt. shucked oysters (undrained)
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 pt. half and half milk and 1 pt. regular milk, added together and scalded
Directions

1Blend flour, seasonings and 2 tablespoons water in a 3-quart soup kettle.

2Add undrained oysters and butter; simmer over very low heat for 3 to 4 minutes, until edges of oysters curl, stirring gently.

3Add scalded or hot milk; remove from heat and cover.

4Let stand 15 minutes.

5Reheat briefly.

6Top servings with pats of butter.

7Serves 4 or 5.
