- 1 pt. shelled oysters
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 1 qt. scalded milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Directions

1Clean oysters, reserving liquid.

2Heat butter.

3Add oysters and liquid and water.

4Simmer gently until edges of oysters begin to curl.

5Add scalded milk, seasoning and Worcestershire sauce. Garnish each serving with dash of paprika.

6If richer stew is desired, substitute 1/2 cup cream for 1/2 cup milk.
