- 1 pint fresh oysters
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 quart fresh milk
- 1/2 stick margarine
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Put onion in enough water to cover in large saucepan.

2Boil until onions are transparent.

3Check oysters for shells then add oysters with liquid to onions and boil; add canned milk and heat slowly; stirring constantly.

4Add margarine, salt and pepper.

5Add fresh milk and bring almost to a boil.

6Remove from heat and serve with saltines, catsup and hot sauce, if desired.
