Ingredients
- 4 boned chicken breasts
- 3 cloves garlic
- 6 Tbsp. butter or vegetable shortening
- 1 Tbsp. ground coriander
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- salt to taste
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 1 1/2 inch piece fresh ginger root
- 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1/2 pt. yogurt
Directions

1Saute the onions, garlic and ginger in the shortening until the onion is golden brown.

2Add the pieces of chicken, yogurt, tomato paste and the spices.

3Mix well and fry for about 15 minutes by which time it should become rather dry.

4Sprinkle in about 2 cups of hot water and allow to cook until chicken is tender.

5If necessary, add more water half way through.

6Makes about 6 servings.
