- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon coriander seed
- 1 tablespoon cumin seed
- 1 pinch ajwain
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 medium-size tomatoes, chopped
- 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 250 g potatoes, boiled
- water, to make gravy
- 2 cups fresh yoghurt, , beaten
- 1 teaspoon green chili, chopped
Directions

1Put oil in a non-stick pan.

2Heat it on medium flame.

3Add corriander seeds, 2 bay leaves, 2 green cardamoms, 1/2 tsp. methi{fenugreek} seeds and cumin seeds. Stir-fry for 10 seconds and then add the chopped onion.

4Stir fry till light brown.

5Add all the masala{spice} powders now. Mix well and then add the diced potato cubes to the mixture and mix well.

6Add the water followed by the tomatoes.

7Mix well.

8Cover with a lid for a minute.

9Remove from heat.
-
10Remove the cover, stir once, and allow it to cool for 5-8 minutes.

11Add yoghurt and mix well.

12Serve over white Basmati rice.
