- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. nuts
Directions

1Melt butter and while hot, add brown sugar.

2Add eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy.

3Sift together the dry ingredients and stir into mixture.

4Mix in chocolate chips and nuts.

5Spread evenly in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.

6Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Let cool and cut in squares.
