  • 1 roasting chicken
  • 3/4 c. chopped onions
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • salt
  • 1/2 c. chopped tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/4 c. sour cream
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1 green pepper

Directions

    In a large Dutch oven, brown the onions in butter until transparent.

    Add paprika and stir until reddish brown.

    Cut the chicken into pieces and fry until brown all over.

    Add the salt, chopped green pepper and tomatoes.

    Add 2/3 cup water; stir well and cover with tight fitting lid.

    Cook over very low heat for 1 1/2 hours.
