  • 9 c. popped corn
  • 1 c. peanuts or 1 c. mixed nuts (optional)
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. oleo
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla or rum extract
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Heat oven to 250°.

    Place popped corn in a large baking pan. Bring to a boil the sugar, syrup and oleo in a saucepan.

    Cook 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat and add soda and extracts.

    Pour over popcorn.

    Stir.

    Place in oven and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
