  • 1 1/8 pounds pizza dough
  • 1 sheet pastry dough fresh rectangular puff
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 3/8 cups tomato puree
  • 5 1/4 ounces sliced ham
  • 2 1/4 cups mozzarella cheese may substitute fresh provola cheese
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • ground black pepper
  • 1 egg for brushing

Directions

    Roll out the pizza dough a place it a wax paper lined rectangular baking sheet.

    Cover the dough with the tomato sauce, some black pepper, the ham slices, the sliced mozzarella cheese and a sprinkling of grated parmesan cheese.

    Cover with the puff pastry dough, seal the edges together and make some holes in the dough.

    Brush the surface with the beaten egg.

    Bake at 190C for approximately 25 minutes.
