Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dry active yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 3 c. flour
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.

2In large mixing bowl, combine sugar, salt, butter and boiling water.

3When warm, not hot, add yeast.

4Mix 1 1/2 cups flour into yeast mixture, egg and rest of flour.

5Sprinkle board with small amount of flour and work dough into ball.

6Grease mixing bowl.

7Put dough in bowl and cover with damp cloth.

8Let rise until double in size.

9Work down and make into rolls.

10Let rise until double.

11Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.

12Makes about 3 dozen.
