- 3/4 c. cornmeal
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Combine cornmeal, flour, salt and baking powder.

3Cut in shortening until crumbly.

4Add milk and stir lightly to blend.

5Knead gently about 10 times.

6Form into 16 balls.

7Combine butter and cheese and roll each ball in mixture. Place in single layer in a well-greased 5-cup ring mold.

8Bake 20 to 25 minutes.

9Let stand a few minutes before unmolding.
