- 1/2 c. Gold Medal flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 c. shortening (half butter)
- 2 to 3 lb. frying chicken, cut into pieces
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Mix flour, salt, pepper and paprika in a paper bag.

3Put shortening in oblong 13 x 9 1/2 x 2-inch pan and set in oven to melt. Shake 3 or 4 pieces of chicken at a time in bag. Coat thoroughly.

4Place chicken, skin side down, in hot shortening.

5Bake for 30 minutes.
