Parmesan Leeks

- 6 leeks
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
- 12 lemon, juice of
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- lemon slice
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
Directions

1preheat oven to 400*F.

2discard dark green leaves from leeks.

3cut light green and white part of stalks into 1 1/2 inch pieces.

4place pieces of leek into bowl of cold water, let stand 20 minutes.

5remove leeks from water and transfer to shallow ovenproof baking dish.

6add cold water so that it barely covers leeks.

7add honey, lemon juice, nutmeg, salt and black pepper.

8place over med heat and bring to a boil.
-
9continue boiling for 5 minutes uncovered.
-
10place baking dish in oven and cook 30 minutes, uncovered.
-
11turn leeks over and continue cooking another 30 minutes.
-
12transfer leeks to serving platter and sprinkle with cheese.
-
13serve with lemon slices.
