Ingredients
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoons ground mustard
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 large lemon, sliced
- 3 lbs cocktail franks or 3 lbs smoked link sausage
Directions

1Heat oil in a large saucepan; add onion and saute until tender.

2Add the next 11 ingredients and stir until well mixed.

3Add lemon slices.

4Bring mixture to a boil.

5Lower heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.

6Take out lemon slices and discard.

7Place hot dogs in a 13x9 inch baking dish.

8Top with sauce.

9Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until heated through.

10Serve warm with tooth picks.
